Free program to design plans. Need a home plan and want to do it yourself? This time we will see programs that can help you design your home easily, since people has been asking me for them on Home Plans Facebook page, I hope they serve you:
1) Floorplanner http://floorplanner.com is an online application that lets you create plans of home interiors for free. Floorplanner is the easiest and most attractive to create and share interactive house plans online. With simple tools as "drag-and-drop" you can make accurate scale plans in minutes. Floorplanner BASIC is free for personal use but also has a PLUS account that offers more space if you need to.
2) Google SketchUp http://sketchup.google.com/intl/es/index.html is the best tool and the most innovative for anyone who wants to design anything from a coffee pot to a skyscraper, make models of everything you can imagine. Redecorate your living room. Make up a new piece of furniture. Create a model of your city for Google Earth. Make home plans. There are no limits of what you can create with SketchUp. Find online models for free or you can build models from scratch or download what you need. Users around the world share their work on the Google 3D Warehouse. Google SketchUp is one of the best programs to do home plans for free.
3) QCAD http://www.ribbonsoft.es/ QCAD is a computer aided design application in two dimensions. With QCAD you can create technical drawings such as plans for homes, buildings, interiors, mechanical parts or schemes. It supports Windows, Mac and Linux. The software is paid but you can download a trial version of the program for free on the website.
4) Microsoft Office Visio lets you create your own solutions to embody different guides, such as office charts, databases, program flow, etc. Its graphical interface is a very simple structure that will motivate you at all times so you do not waste time trying to decipher the commands you need to use.
